1. Applications
Used as bare overhead conductor for primary and secondary distribution. Designed utilizing a high-strength aluminum alloy to achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio; affords better sag characteristics. Aluminum alloy gives AAAC higher resistance to corrosion than ACSR.
2. The properties of aluminum electrical cable
(1)Under the same cross section, Aluminum conductor weight is 50% to copper core cable: As their specific gravity is significant different, even if aluminum alloy cross sections will be enlarged, it also can reduce the conductor weight as its small specific gravity.
(2)Good joint properties: as add the Fe, Mg, rear earth ect. into aluminum: significantly improved the toughness and high anti creep property after annealing. In fact, the joint of copper and aluminum is the most key problems all the time. If copper and aluminum (or aluminum alloy) connect directly; connection contact, as the different materials, existing potential difference, in humidity air can occur electric chemical corrosion. In power system, this corrosion can increase contacting resistance, making the joints heat and become potential danger of system operate safely. Now apply the new technology copper aluminum joint, and eliminate the fatal defect caused by old copper aluminum joint thoroughly, making joint of aluminum alloy cable safe and easy to install.
(3)Improved mechanical properties: as add the alloy Fe, Cu, rear earth ect. Into the purity aluminum, improved the aluminum alloy's comprehensive properties, elongation and creep properties.

The cable drum is not allowed to be placed horizontally in transportation, Dropped cables from height and mechanical damage is strictly prohibited.
