1. The features of aluminum alloy power cable
1.1. Power consumption in transit depends on the conductor resistance instead of the resistivity.
1.2. Under the same current capacity, the cross section of aluminum alloy cable is 1.6 times than that of the copper conductor cable.
1.3. Under the same current capacity, the diameter of aluminum alloy conductor is about 1.2 times of copper conductor.
1.4. Under the same equivalent cross section length, the weight of aluminum conductor is 50% of copper conductor.
1.5. Good performance of joint (Owing to the adding of several elements such as iron, magnesium, rare earth to aluminum.
1.6. Improvement of the mechanical performance
1.7. High strength: The alloying increases the tensile strength of aluminum alloy.
1.8. Strong elongation: The elongation is above 25%, which greatly improves the bending performance.
1.9. Small resiliency: The resiliency of aluminum alloy cable is 40% less than that of copper cable, so it is convenient and safe for construction.
1.10. Creep-resisting: The special alloy of aluminum alloy conductor and heat treatment process largely reduce the tendency of mental creep when it is under heat and pressure.
